Before setting up Chameleon Design in 2002, Rose Lennard spent seven years working as a chartered Landscape Architect in both private practice
and the public sector. Her professional experience in this field has encompassed private gardens ranging from urban courtyards
to country estates, as well as masterplanning and detail design of college campuses, hotels, business parks and other public
spaces. Rose is a Full Member of the Society of Garden Designers (MSGD) and a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI)
A questing spirit has led Rose to explore a variety of paths
in life, including organic self sufficiency in rural Brittany, tree planting in the Spanish desert and conservation work
for English Nature in the Norfolk Broads, before settling on her current career path. This non-conformist side means
that her designs are always individual and unconventional, while remaining sensitive to setting and the needs of the
client.
A strong artistic streak underpins Rose's design work, also
finding expression through life drawing. Her work reflects her lifelong love of unspoilt natural landscapes which provide
a rich source of inspiration. Now based in Cheltenham, Rose also enjoys unleashing the potential of smaller urban spaces,
typically marrying sweeping curves and planting to strong architectural structure.
Chameleon Design offers a full design, specification and contract supervision
service, as required, and welcomes commissions at home or abroad.
