Conceptual Festival
Watch a short video about this garden on the BBC website.
Our design was one of only 14 selected from over 200 for display at the prestigious 2003 Westonbirt International Festival of Gardens in Gloucestershire. The theme of the festival was 'Ideas to Steal' and in 'Dreamscape' you can see shimmering industrial stainless steel mesh contrasted against massive sea-worn timbers; rusted iron and mouth blown glass globes in watercolour patterns among waving dune-like grasses.
A particularly rewarding aspect of this venture was the chance to work closely with artists and craftspeople who created the bespoke items following my brief.
It is a garden of repose and tranquillity, tinged with the fantasy of dreams. Chameleon Design's hallmark smooth flowing lines lead you gently down to the centre of the garden where you can lean back on the sculptural bench and lose yourself in reverie…
